I’m At The Right Place At The Right Time
Sometimes it’s hard watching other people win while you struggle to get where you’re going. Many won’t admit it but I will. If your cup is half empty, it’s hard to pour into someone else with a positive spirit. Especially when your life is in chaos and the problems keep coming back-to-back. I hate going through a season where it seems like the rain won’t stop and the sunshine is nowhere in sight. Like, what did I do to deserve this? I’ve been a faithful servant. Why am I going through it and everyone seems to be living their best life?
It seems like Instagram showcases an “overnight” success nearly every day.
All the glitz and glamour on social media will make you question all the hard work and dedication you put into your own projects. Then, you start to feel like you’re behind or as if you’re not going fast enough. But, I’m here to tell you that you’re in the right place at the right time. Keep working hard and staying consistent. Your turn is next. You’ll have to make some sacrifices, miss a few events, and stop eating out all the time, but, it will be all worth it when you achieve that goal. Those successful men and women on social media are working their butts off. They show up, show out, and don’t make excuses. That can be you. Well, correction, that will be you. Just stay focused.
In theory, there’s no elevator to success, we all have to take the stairs. With every step, there’s a lesson to be learned that will take you up a level. Don’t feel discouraged. God is still with you, covering you, not giving you more than you can bear. Besides, how would you learn anything if you never bump your head? The rich and wealthy fail, learn from their mistakes and keep running the race. Keep doing your research and applying yourself. Eventually, you’ll get where you want to be.
All things considered, giving up on your dreams just can’t happen.
You did not come this far, to log into Facebook, get envious, and start feeling like a failure. Not today, not tomorrow, not never. I need you to get it together and stop following people who don’t motivate you but make you feel you’re behind. I mean – we all need a little tough love. But, watching someone flaunt their blessings in your face won’t do you any good. What are you learning from these types of interactions?
Not to mention, your start and her middle are two different fazes. Maybe, just maybe, God hasn’t blessed you with what that person has because it’s not for you. Or, it’s probably not your time to have it. God knows what you can handle and what you can’t. Time to show up and put in the work. Besides, social media only shows you the highlights. You never know what’s going on behind the scenes.
I’m doing things at my own pace. I trust God. When Jesus is ready to bring me out the woods, hidden from everyone amongst the trees with my gifts, I’ll be ready. I’m in a season of preparation and I’m ok with that. It’s not what I want, it’s what God wants. Patience is key. I’ll work, wait, and have faith. I’m fine just where I’m at….I’m at the right place at the right time.
